SUMMER CAMP!!!!

The week of:

June 16    What Makes a Princess, a Princess? (or a Prince, a Prince)

                           This is our most popular camp because of course it is here we learn proper etiquette and preparation for the daily life of a Princess. Older students will be divided out for “Advanced Princess Training” and will have daily ballet technique class, manners and etiquette and will design their own ball gown!

June 23    Read, Dance, Explore (k-3rd grade boys & girls)

                        A love of reading sometimes needs to be explored from a different perspective. Books and words come alive when you move through them! Enhance your child's early language skills and reading potential through this camp experience.

June 24-27   Art Camp (details TBA) with local artist MAry Keating!

                        Paper, Paint and Clay…Everyday! Local artist, Mary Keating is going to spend four days guiding students through their own artistic expression in three mediums.

June 30    I'm an American Girl !

                        You can bring your American Girl doll with you for 5 days of dance exploration and crafts related to the lives of Felicity, Samantha, Molly and friends! You will also learn about America 's Independence Day celebration!

July 7    Just Like Hannah (Montana)

                        Jazz dance and stage movement are highlighted in this week of excitement. You will develop your very own “alter-ego” pop star personality just like Hannah Montana!

July 14 I'm in a High School Musical

July 21 Dance with Angelina Ballerina

July 28 Becoming Barbie

July 21 Focus on 20 th Century Ballet

July 21- July 25 9am to 4pm $295

  • Daily Ballet Class, PrePointe and Pointe Practice
  • Alignment and Anatomy for Dancers
  • Daily Vocabulary Enrichment and New Step Introduction
  • Exploration of Important Ballet Figures in 20 th Century Ballet History

         Great Workshop for those who need a refresher in ballet, are coming back to ballet after a break from class, or those who are wanting to advance in their current studies. Advanced students will be challenged to exploration of new steps and accelerated expectations during technique class. Wear solid color leotard, pink tights, pink leather or canvas slippers and ballet skirt. Bring a folder, notebook. and blank CD. All students should have appropriate cover ups each day. Bring a bag lunch or money.

July 28 Focus on Contemporary Dance

July 28-August 2 9am to 4pm

  • Daily Modern Technique Class and introduction to style differences
  • Improvisation Techniques and Practice
  • Exploration of 20 th Century Dancers/Choreographers, their techniques, their choreography and their legacy
  • Elements of Choreography

        Great Workshop for those interested in modern dance and/or choreography in contemporary dance. Please wear leotard and footless tights. Bring folder, notebook and blank CD. All students should have appropriate cover ups each day. Bring a bag lunch or money.

August 4 Focus on Scottish Highland Dance

August 4 – August 8 9am to 4pm

  • Daily Skills and Drills Class and Technique Practice
  • Daily Highland Class plus Hornpipe and Jig
  • Who's Who, What's What and Where's Where in Highland Dancing
  • Competition Preparedness, Costume Overview and Strategies
  • Daily Theory Work and Medal Test Preparation

   

        Please wear leotard and footless tights. Bring folder, notebook and blank CD. All students should have appropriate cover ups each day. Bring a bag lunch or money.
            Parents can attend with their child for half-price to learn more about what your child is involved in and what is expected!
