     Claire Brown

Claire Brown grew up in Los Angeles, California where she began ballet classes at age 5. As a child she performed locally with both the San Fransisco and New York City Ballet and gravitated to musical theater in high school. She attended New York University where she received a BFA in Drama. Her life since then has taken many directions (including 20 years of marriage and 2 amazing kids!) but has come full circle by giving her the opportunity to teach Foundations classes at CDPA. She loves her young dancers and is always delighted by their limitless enthusiasm and capabilities.
"I am so blessed to have the opportunity of sharing my love of dance, movement, and expression!"
On a personal note, she will be spending the next year and a half getting her daughter Ellen (a CDPA student, assistant and teacher) ready to embark on the next phase of her life - COLLEGE!.
Claire fully supports CDPA's mission of lifelong learning. "Ellen's experience here has not only prepared her for continued study and a career in Dance, should she choose, but has given her an appreciation of the Arts which will continue into adulthood. Her time at CDPA has helped to mold a loving child into a blossoming young woman full of confidence and direction. I could not have asked for a more positive influence for my child."
