NEWS & UPDATES

That WAS Iconic!

Without a doubt, our CDPA Showcase performances were some of the best ever in the 31 years of CDPA history. Our students did a remarkable job in a difficult year and followed through with grace and style. It truly was a pleasure to have taught each of our CDPA students this year! Best wishes to our graduates on their next endeavors. Lily Gold will be attending UCF this fall, Elizabeth Karpov will be a dance and education major at Palm Beach Atlantic and Ellie Smith will be majoring in psychology and dance at USF. Thank you to CDPA dance mom and Professional photographer for capturing these beautiful images of these dancers!

I know that the future of CDPA depends on our service, loyalty, and commitment to our dance families and the families they refer to our program. I want to thank our amazing teachers and parent volunteers who have made this challenging year a success! Mrs. Lisa Backovsky has done an outstanding job with our prePremier Scottish dancers this year. Despite not being able to compete, we have seen growth in our Highland dancers through hard work in the studio and outside performances! We are excited about the competition events ahead!

Thank you to Mrs. Eva, Mrs. Katie and Ms. Megan for coming back on board in January to teach enhancement classes and reconnect with our CDPA students. Of course, our awesome logo and shirts were thanks to Mrs. Eva being able to make my ideas come to life and it is so much fun to our dancers as images in our recital logo! Ms. Madison and Ms. Ellen contributed stunning choreography to the show this year and worked with our dancers on style and performance intentions. Miss Cheyanne came back to set our remix pieces, Dancing through Life and You Can't Stop the Beat! Ms. Brittni kept our Homework Hangouts going through the fall and into the spring which helped connect our dancers in an online social setting! Dance moms, Jessica Williams and Ansa du Toit along with a host of volunteers kept us organized for performances, fundraisers, and special events! Mrs. Ansa has captured so many of these moments with great photos helping us hold on to great memories! Thank you to our backstage crew, too! My power team!! I could not, would not want to do a show without you!

It has actually been an amazing year. Thanks 'Rona for getting us back on track and connected to that special bond that has built CDPA's reputation for a family-based studio with exceptional personal training, education, and mentorship for successful futures that span all careers and professions while still fostering a love of the arts and dance in particular! At CDPA, we give you the skills and the mindset to make great choices whether you choose to dance professionally or not, dance will always be a part of who you are and how you succeed! We look forward to dancing with you!
